The day a Moose came to visit

The other day, a Moose came to visit Heritage. I named him Mortimer. He somehow got into the outdoor horse arena. The horses were really spooked by the big fella that had moved in. Mortimer was sure happy to find some delicious hay to eat though!

They had to call animal control and the cops showed up too. Mortimer had quite the audience but kept to himself. When animal control got there, they had to put him to sleep so that he could be transported to a more suitable home.

This is one of the guys from animal control and his tranquilizer gun! It's for the best, Mortimer, I promise.

Once he was shot with a tranquilizer, Mortimer began to get very tired and laid down. Doesn't he look so cute! After he was relaxed, several cops and animal control people moved him onto a large orange tarp. They called for several guys to come and help carry Mortimer to the horse trailer ...

Some of the guys were really excited to be helping and more than willing to pitch in.








So Mortimer was transported up to the mountains and we wish him the very best of luck in life!
