I am thinking quite seriosly of getting a new ride! When I was driving home from work about a week and a half ago, the front passenger window suddenly fell into the door. I was quite startled at first! I must say I am quite glad that it wasn't on my side of the car! I laugh about the experience but am realzing that the cost and hassle of fixing it is no laughing matter. But, it may be a tender mercy letting me know it's time for a new car. After numerous phone calls and visit to a glass shop, I found out that the window regulator needs to be fixed. This is a small cable that holds the window in place and winds and unwinds as the window moves up and down. Apparently it is quite common for these to break and I am lucky that mine lasted 10 years! The part is $250 and must be purchased through the dealer. An uncle who works at the dealer can get me a bit of a discount but it will still cost about $180 just to buy the part. Quotes to install it were anywhere from $120 to $30. I found some used parts dealers online that can mail be the part for anywhere from $50 to $120. Now the question for all of you is.... do I trade it in on my new vehicle purchase or pay to get it fixed and sell it on my own? I can get $2500 for it as a trade-in. It is worth about $3500 if I sell it myself but would have to fix it first.
Here is the car I am seriously looking at buying... What do you think?

I found your blog! YAY!
As for Ultimate Auto, they may be able to find you that car at an auction. They just got me a minivan from auction. I told them what I wanted and they called me when it came up at auction. Tell Jason (owner) you are friends with Heath's sister Marissa.
